In fact, I can! With a camera, that is.
Over the length of this summer, I am stalking tourists coming off cruise ships to shop and sightsee along South Franklin Street in downtown Juneau, Alaska. Camouflage is unnecessary, as a camera with a couple of big lenses dangling from my neck make me blend in with tourists seamlessly. The gift shops have luckily provided plenty of props to work with - a moving and talking electronic life-size miner with a yellow hard hat sitting on a wooden box, a life-size black bear, an oversized black and white eagle, and a wooden chair in the shape of a bear. And the cruise ships provide plenty of subjects, bringing them in by boat-loads everyday. All I have to do is pace up and down the street and wait for picture-perfect pieces to fall together. I will be shooting and uploading images to the album “Juneau Tourists” pretty much every week, except in July, when I will be out of town, through the end of the tourist season at the end of September. The images are in the album “Juneau Tourists”
Enjoy.
